The still life series was created in an effort to explore quiet, slow music that is organic both in character and origin as an escape from the rapid pace of modern life. What began as an extended vacation funded by a tax refund developed into a duo collaboration that over the past twelve years has produced a volume of work praised by critics as well as musical innovators such as Laurie Anderson, Maria Schneider, Jon Hassell, Emil Schult and Pauline Oliveros.
